The Flag Line Trail, one of the most scenic trails in the Bend mountain biking trail network stays closed until August 15th each year
for elk calving. While there are many other spectacular trails at the same, high elevation area, the Flag Line Trail acts as a connector to link many trails together to form longer epic loops. In obedient fashion, we waited until August 15th 
to ride Flag Line, but on that morning, Friday, August 15th, Greg Dixon, Ben and myself were pumped and ready. Oh, what a day, we had such fun, climbing up to Dutchman Flat snowpark near Mt Bachelor and then bombing down the South Fork Trail with disc brakes a blazing. And the wooden bridges just before Happy Valley, I made them all!!
